Jaipur by Boucheron for Wom
en Reviews: This is one of the early women’s fragrances launched by Boucheron. It is more dramatic than Initial, highlighted by a floral Oriental tone. Jaipur or “jewel” was inspired by a trip made by the company’s current president’s grandfather to Jaipur, a city whose reputation for precious stones was legendary.
Thus, the fragrance was introduced in a jewel flacon. The original bottles are, of course, highly prized by collectors today. Long recognized as makers of elegrant, luxurious jewelry Boucheron began in 1830 when the first store opened in Paris. It was not until 1988 that the first Boucheron fragrance was launched.
