There are a lot of ingredients one can use to make great discount perfumes . But the components, percentage and actual formulation of such would depend on what type of scent is meant to be produced. For instance, the early Egyptians used a lot of Kyphi, odorous incense, in their perfumes. In today’s times there are lot more options when it comes to ingredients. A perfume is generally a blend of essential oils, fragrant compounds, and fixatives and solvents.
The amount and type of solvent blended with the fragrance oil makes a perfume a pure perfume, Eau de parfum, Eau de toilette, or Eau de Cologne. Perfumes oils are often diluted with solvents. Pure perfume is often the most expensive to make with 22% of essential oils. Eau de Parfum comes second with around 15 to 22% essential oils. Use the basic formula of 15% to 30% essential oil, 70% to 80% of pure grain alcohol, such as vodka, and 5% of distilled or bottled spring water to make perfume. Essential oil can be replaced with fragrance oil for a cheaper quality and price perfume. Essential oil can easily be found in a craft store or health food store. Store your perfume in a small glass or plastic container. You can buy a container with a sprayer at almost any local craft store. You might also be able to find vintage perfume bottles at thrift stores or flea markets.
Lightly squeeze the petals to drain off any oils. To that base oil add organic extractions one to two drops at a time until the aroma is pleasing. Be fastidious about this for best results. So test this on a small patch of skin before starting to use it regularly. Now smell the results. If it’s too intense, just add more oil.
