The imports of cosmetic concentrates exceeded to 35 percent while the industrial imports rose by around 45 percent during January-April 2008 against the same period in 2007, importers and traders said Tuesday.
“Because soap and detergents makers continued launching new household products, while a number of domestic perfume makers introduced variety of products in the country for all and sundriesâ€, an importer Javed A Khan said.

Muscat’s one-stop shop of Syrian products, the annual Syrian Trade Fair will open tomorrow and run until May 31.
It is a Syrian extravaganza with a variety of products under one roof for the entire family and will be held at the Oman International Exhibition Centre, said an Oman Times report.
